All players—both streamers and non-streamers—are expected to follow these standards while in the server. Violations may result in warnings, suspensions, or permanent bans, depending on severity. Players may be disciplined for discriminatory speech, harassment, violent or threatening behavior, or any actions intended to harm, exploit, or intimidate others. This includes, but is not limited to, the following:

Metagaming

Using information obtained outside of in-character roleplay to gain an advantage while in the city is strictly prohibited and may result in punishment. All actions and decisions must be based only on what your character knows in-game. This includes, but is not limited to, information gathered from:

  • Discord calls or messages
  • Twitch streams
  • Kick streams
  • YouTube videos or live streams
  • TikTok content or live broadcasts

Going Out of Character (OOC)

Players are expected to remain in character at all times while using voice chat. Once you log into the server, you are considered in character and actively roleplaying unless you are specifically brought into an admin sit-down or otherwise directed by staff. Maintaining immersion helps ensure a better roleplay experience for everyone.

Breaking Character

Breaking character disrupts roleplay and is not permitted under any circumstances. Players are expected to let scenes play out fully and address any concerns afterward through the proper channels. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Interrupting an active scene or conversation with irrelevant comments or statements intended to stop or derail the roleplay.
  • Threatening to report another player during a scene instead of allowing the roleplay to continue naturally.
  • Using information obtained outside of the city that your character did not personally learn through in-game roleplay.

Powergaming

Powergaming is defined as using unrealistic actions or unfair advantages to control or force the outcome of a roleplay scene. Players are expected to allow scenes to develop fairly, realistically, and collaboratively to ensure an enjoyable experience for everyone. This behavior is not permitted. Examples of powergaming include, but are not limited to:

  1. Using unrealistic advantages to dictate how a scene unfolds rather than allowing organic roleplay.
  2. Conducting sales or illegal activity in Green Zones, which are designated safe areas.
  3. Selling drugs outside of the city, unless your established gang territory (hood) is officially located outside city limits.
  4. Disposing of dead bodies in oceans or bodies of water to avoid consequences or investigation.
  5. Entering a house or interior solely to avoid roleplay or police interaction.
  6. Camping at garages to ambush players as they retrieve vehicles or stash cars.
  • If a vehicle is left unattended at a garage and the owner is not visibly nearby, it may be stolen.

Vehicle Deathmatch (VDM)

Vehicle Deathmatch (VDM) is defined as using a vehicle to intentionally harm or kill another player or deliberately ramming another player’s vehicle. If a player is standing in front of your vehicle and aiming a firearm at you through the windshield, you may not drive forward and strike them. Doing so is still considered intentional VDM and is considered FailRP.

  • Intentionally striking a player with your vehicle is considered VDM.
  • You must exit your vehicle to initiate or participate in a combat scene.

EMS & Police Department (PD) Scenes

To maintain realism and fair roleplay, the following rules apply to EMS and PD interactions:

  1. You may not hold EMS at gunpoint to prevent them from providing medical care. EMS will not enter an active scene to revive anyone. The scene must be completed and cleared first.
  2. Do not steal PD equipment, including weapons (tasers included), vehicles, or search police/EMS vehicles.
  3. Police baiting is not allowed. Do not intentionally commit crimes in front of police for the purpose of forcing interaction.
  4. Players may not flee from police after being revived by EMS. Act realistically: comply, raise your hands, and follow the officer's instructions.
  5. If a player is downed in prison, they must be taken to the infirmary for treatment.
  6. If you are downed during a shootout or incapacitated in any way (civilians or officers), you may not rejoin that shootout.
  7. Ambushing police officers is strictly prohibited.
  8. Do not disconnect (F8) during a PD scene. Violations may result in a ban.

Hostage Roleplay

Hostage roleplay must be handled seriously and with realism:

  1. Hostages must value their lives at all times.
  2. When taking a hostage, the hostage must have their own available seat in the vehicle.
  3. If you do not want a hostage using communications, you must physically remove their radio or phone in roleplay.
  4. A minimum of three (3) officers on duty is required to kidnap a police officer.
  5. EMS must be off duty to be taken hostage.
  6. If you are inside a vehicle that is turned on and someone approaches you with a firearm drawn, you may drive away. However, intentionally striking the individual will still be considered VDM.
  7. You may take a hostage and demand ransom money. If the ransom is paid, the hostage must be released alive. If the ransom is not paid, the scene may continue naturally through roleplay.

Exploiting

Exploiting is the use of game mechanics or emotes in an unintended or unfair way to gain an advantage. Any form of exploitation may result in disciplinary action. Examples include, but are not limited to:

  • Emote exploiting, such as spam punching
  • Using certain /e (emotes) in combination with others to bypass animations, cooldowns, or intended mechanics
  • Any form of exploitation may result in disciplinary action.

Fear Roleplay (Fear RP)

  • You must have a gun actively in hand in order to realistically fight back.
  • If you are held at gunpoint, you are expected to comply and fear for your life unless you have backup from two (2) or more allies present at the scene.

Green Zones

Green Zones (GZ) are designated safe areas where roleplay involving crime or intimidation is not permitted. No criminal activity or intimidation may take place in Green Zones.

  • Movie theaters
  • Bowling alleys
  • Golf courses
  • Skating rinks

    Robbing Rules
  1. Players must have at least 2 minutes of in-character interaction with someone before attempting to rob them.
  2. If you are being robbed and are instructed to put your hands up, you must comply and fear for your life unless you already have a firearm drawn. Follow the directions of the individual(s) holding you at gunpoint.
  3. Robberies are not permitted in Green Zones under any circumstances.
  4. You may not kill a player after robbing them. Robberies are intended for roleplay, not execution.
  5. There is a 30-minute real-life cooldown after robbing someone. You may not rob the same person again until 30 minutes have passed.
  6. Attempting to rob or kidnap someone does not grant immediate initiation rights to the target. All robberies must be roleplayed properly. Retaliation (“getting your get back”) must occur within the same server restart or through continued roleplay with the same individual stemming from the original robbery.
  7. Robbing unconscious, downed, or dead bodies is strictly prohibited.

All players are expected to follow the server rules at all times and treat staff members with respect. Roleplay to the best of your ability, remain immersive, and ensure your actions contribute to a realistic and enjoyable experience for everyone.

Staff decisions regarding rule violations and punishments are final. Any bans may only be appealed through the official ban appeal process at www.website.com. Failure to follow rules, disrespecting staff, or disrupting roleplay will result in disciplinary action, up to and including permanent bans.
